Southern Miss Photography – 2009-2011 Seasons

Tonight we discuss my time between William Carey and Southern Miss when I regularly went to Southern Miss Golden Eagle sporting events on weekends, regardless of sport in 2009. As I got into graduate school in 2010 and 2011, I went less naturally to focus on school, but I went to all the games I possibly could within that time…taking photographs.

Now that said, I had at the time a 2009 Canon Rebel D-SLR with a telephoto lens from my parents. The issue I had for the most part had to do with lighting, particularly at night at M.M. Roberts Stadium or inside the basketball arena, Reed Green. Then on top of it, I wasn’t shooting on the field or just off court; I was in the stands taking these pictures.

I was taking photos of the various Southern Miss teams from 2009 up until the 2012-2013 school year. By then, they began banning large size cameras from the stands (and I think I had something to do with it). The image of Seymour himself in the 2009 New Orleans Bowl was used in advertising for Southern Miss in 2010-2011.
