When it comes to college athletics, I’m a Southern Miss fan and have been full-fledged since roughly 2007-2008. If not for a scholarship at William Carey and it being closer to home, I probably would’ve went to the University of Southern Mississippi for my undergraduate studies. I eventually did go to graduate school at Southern Miss and got my Master’s degree in 2011.
During that time, I found a website where I could message with fellow USM fans online called BigGoldNation.com, which to this day is a part of the Rivals.com Network and Yahoo! Sports. The owner at that time reached out to me about getting some work done over time, such as a new logo, some advertisements, etc to gain more viewership on the website. And for a time, I believe it worked, primarily on National Signing Day for NCAA football players each year.
