Tonight I want to highlight jersey designs I made for the Arizona State University Ultimate sports club. Yes, frisbee time!
When I was first approached by them, they referred to themselves as the Diablos, with a really weird devilish face that I needed to retrace in Illustrator. They had another team known as the Brawl that were mostly ASU students as well at the time and wanted jerseys based off the NBA’s Phoenix Suns (the 1990s version when they went to the Finals in 1993).
They changed their Ultimate team’s name from Diablos to the Prime in 2011 if memory serves me correctly. They requested for two all new Prime Uniforms that I made from scratch in Illustrator and had it printed at AB Pro Sports based in California (I don’t believe they exist anymore since their site domain is for sale). The first was to incorporate their Sun Devils mascot in a front view with sunglasses flexing muscles. The second jersey involved having a designed shoulder sleeve and an eagle emblem. One of the players at that time has his own YouTube video that shows some of the jerseys I made in action.
