The William Carey Years – 2008/2009

After a couple years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, I went to William Carey University in Gulfport, Mississippi to continue my graphic design education and was introduced to doing photography work.

Keep in mind that the William Carey University Gulfport campus was located just off Highway 90 and was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. If I remember correctly, the Laundry Room at one of the former dormitories in the back was converted into our classroom where many of our art courses took place, as well as in the old barracks that were close to the front.

We all got to go outside one day and take random photos all over the campus in 2008, and these were the best ones I have to this day. Included are an old bike next to the converted room, an odd-shaped tree in front of the art barracks, books found in the old school library ravaged by Hurricane Katrina, and a friend who decided to sit by another tree as the sun was coming down.
